What To Expect
With a Chemical Peel
Your results will remain for approximately three to four months before the muscles slowly begin to move again. Maintenance treatments every three to four months will ensure you always look youthful and rejuvenated.
What To Know
Before You Get A Chemical Peel

Typically, 4-6 treatments are needed every 2-4 weeks, and then you maintain results with one treatment every few months.

Discontinue retinoids (skin products containing retinol) and tanning 2 weeks prior to treatment.

Inform us if you have a history of cold sores. We can help you with a medication to help reduce recurrences.

Plan to stay out of the sun for 48 hours following a peel.

Strenuous exercise that causes facial redness and flushing is to be avoided for 48 hours.

The extent of "flaking" or redness after a peel will vary greatly from person to person, therefore we recommend a minimum of two weeks before any major social event (weddings, professional photographs, etc.)
The Procedure
During a VI Peel the skin is cleansed and then the solution is evenly applied in two phases: one to penetrate into the skin cells on the skin’s surface, and the other to go deeper into the dermis where toxins and dead skin cells are hiding.
During the application of the peel, you may feel a tingling or slight stinging sensation that lasts for about five seconds. The peel numbs the skin on the first pass and very cold air is directed at the treatment site for additional comfort.
The solution dries quickly and you are free to resume daily activities, but must wait 5 hours before washing it off.
The Recovery
After your VI PEEL, our team will give you specific aftercare instructions along with a post care kit.
Wait 5 hours before cleansing your face, then start your aftercare regimen.
In the next few days, you’ll notice that your skin looks a little darker or slightly reddish. It may also feel tighter and firmer. You may experience temporary darkening of hyperpigmentation like age spots and freckles. That’s a great sign that the VI Peel is doing its work.
On about the third day, you’ll likely start the peeling process. Usually, this begins around your mouth and then includes all treated areas.
In order to prevent further hyperpigmentation issues, do NOT peel the flaky skin. It will slough off on it's own.
Peeling is usually done by day seven and you can finally enjoy your refreshed and rejuvenated complexion!

Does Botox treatment hurt?BOTOX is injected using a tiny needle, and most patients do not find the injections painful. You may feel a small pinch from the needle at the injection site.

When will I see results?You should begin to see results in a few days after your BOTOX injections. Optimal results are achieved at two weeks.

How long do wrinkle relaxers last?Depending on how well you care for your skin, neurotoxin injections can last in the range of three to five months before requiring retreatment.

Can I get Botox while pregnant or breastfeeding? (This includes all neuromodulators)It is not recommended to receive any BOTOX treatments while pregnant or breastfeeding.
